C/2020 R7 ATLAS
more info
Comet C/2020 R7 was discovered on 15 September 2020, two years before its perihelion passage. Later a series of observations were found from 3 December 2019. In the moment of orbit determination, this comet was still observed.
Currently, solutions (GR and NG) based on pre-perihelion data are given. Therefore, the data arc span over 2.78 yr in a range of heliocentric distances from 9.08 au to 2.96 au.
This is Oort spike comet. According to orbits obtained using pre-perihelion data this comet suffers moderate planetary perturbations that lead to a significantly more tight future orbit (semimajor axis of about 2,000 au).
